'Proponent for public education' running for Beaufort County Council

Jodie Srutek, a longtime activist in Beaufort County Board of Education discussions, filed last week to run for Beaufort County Council District 7.

“Overlapping public education, are the matters of growth management, workforce and affordable housing, impact fees, and environmental stewardship,” she said. “Beaufort County will benefit from leaders who show they can adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, and most importantly, are receptive to constituents.
